Tyler Steinkamp, better known as loltyler1 or simply Tyler1, is a 31-year-old American streamer and former League of Legends player from Missouri who transformed himself from one of gaming's most infamous villains into one of Twitch's biggest success stories. While studying computer science at Central Methodist University, he began uploading League of Legends content that quickly gained attention for his explosive personality, relentless competitiveness and unforgettable rages. His reputation eventually led to an indefinite ban from League of Legends in 2016 for toxic behavior, but Riot Games lifted the suspension in 2018 after what many dubbed his "redemption arc." His return stream drew more than 380,000 concurrent viewers, setting a Twitch record for a non-tournament individual stream at the time.
Tyler1 has remained one of Twitch's most entertaining personalities by turning every ranked match into an event.
